When you submit a service request, we collect:

• Your name, phone number, and email address
• The service address where you need help
• Vehicle information and a description of the problem
• Optional notes you provide about your situation
• Approximate geolocation, if you grant browser permission, to help locate you

While a service is in progress, we may also collect the technician's real-time location (for live tracking) and any chat messages exchanged between you, the technician, and our dispatcher.

How We Use Your Information

• To dispatch a technician and complete the service you requested
• To send you service-related notifications by SMS and email
• To provide the live-tracking link for your job
• To enable communication between you, the technician, and our dispatcher
• To keep records for warranty, billing, and tax purposes
• To improve our service and respond to support questions

SMS Messaging

By submitting a service request, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from The Semi Shop related to your request — including request confirmation, technician assignment, en-route and arrival updates, completion, and cancellation notices.

Message frequency varies by job (typically up to five messages per service request). Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at 208-696-9888.

We do not share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Service Providers

We use the following third-party service providers strictly to operate our service. Each receives only the information needed to perform its function:

• Twilio — sends SMS notifications about your request
• Resend — sends transactional email notifications
• Supabase — hosts our database and powers real-time features
• Mapbox — renders maps and converts coordinates to addresses
• Vercel — hosts the application infrastructure

These providers are bound by their own privacy and data-protection terms and may not use your information for their own marketing.

Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose information only when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, technicians, or the public.

Data Retention

We retain customer service records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, warranty, and accounting obligations — typically up to seven (7) years. Live location data and chat messages tied to a specific job are retained for a shorter period after the job is completed.

Your Rights

You may contact us to:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct information that is inaccurate
• Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal record-keeping duties
• Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP

Our service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
