Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 13, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the mobile mechanic services provided by The Semi Shop (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By submitting a service request or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
The Semi Shop is a mobile mechanic service operating from 2745 Tucker Ct Ste A, Jerome, ID 83338. We dispatch a licensed technician to your location to diagnose and, where possible, repair vehicle issues on-site. Some repairs may not be feasible on-site and may require towing to a shop facility, which is your responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Service Area
We serve the Magic Valley region of Idaho and surrounding areas. We reserve the right to decline service requests outside our normal service area or that we determine, in our sole discretion, are unsafe or impractical to perform.
3. Booking & Dispatch
A service request is not confirmed until a technician is assigned. Estimated arrival times (ETAs) shown in the application are approximations and may change due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen conditions at other jobs. We will keep you informed of changes by SMS and email.
4. Pricing & Payment
Pricing is provided either before the technician begins work or, for diagnostic visits, after an initial inspection. Final pricing depends on the actual scope of work and parts required. Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the payment methods listed at the time of service.
5. Cancellations & No-Shows
You may cancel a request at any time before a technician arrives by calling 208-696-9888. We may charge a trip fee if a technician has already been dispatched. We reserve the right to cancel a request and will refund any pre-paid amounts in full if we cancel for reasons within our control.
6. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate contact, location, and vehicle information
- Be present (or have an authorized adult present) at the service location
- Provide reasonable and safe access to the vehicle
- Disclose any known hazards (leaking fluids, electrical issues, etc.)
- Confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle or are authorized by the owner to request service
7. Vehicle Access & Safety
Our technicians may decline to perform work if the location is unsafe — for example, on an active roadway without a safe shoulder, in extreme weather, or in any setting that poses a risk to the technician, the customer, or property. In such cases we will work with you to find an alternative location or reschedule.
8. Diagnostic vs. Repair Work
A diagnostic visit identifies the likely cause of a problem; it does not include repair labor or parts. If you authorize repairs, the diagnostic fee may be applied toward the repair cost at our discretion. We will obtain your authorization before beginning any chargeable repair work.
9. Parts & Warranty
Parts are warranted by their manufacturers, and we will pass through the manufacturer warranty applicable to each part. Our labor is warranted for thirty (30) days against defects in workmanship for the specific repair performed. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accident, modification, or pre-existing conditions in the vehicle.
10. Service Limitations & Disclaimers
We make no guarantee that every issue can be diagnosed or repaired on-site. Some problems require shop equipment, additional time, or specialty parts that may need to be ordered. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED, OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THAT SERVICE. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF USE, OR LOSS OF DATA. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
12. Photos & Documentation
Our technicians may take photographs of the vehicle and surrounding work area for documentation, quality assurance, and warranty purposes. These records are retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. SMS & Email Communications
By submitting a service request, you consent to receive service-related SMS and email messages from us. You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. Opting out of SMS will not cancel any active service request, and we may still contact you by phone or email about your job. See our Privacy Policy for details.
14. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Jerome County, Idaho, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
